The Sacred, Damned & Divine is a series exploring the many states of womanhood ,spiritual and rebellious, vulnerable and untamed.Drawing from mythology, religion, fairytales, and the emotional landscape of girlhood and transformation, the works reflect how women can hold contradictions: soft yet wild, wounded yet powerful, holy yet human.
These paintings honour archetypal feminine figures . Persephone, Ophelia, saints, witches and fairies , women who descend, suffer, rise, and reclaim themselves.
I hope viewers feel a connection to these women ,to their strength, vulnerability and quiet resilience.
The work is about finding beauty in both light and shadow.
