Virus is the alter ego of London-based artist Raffaella Bertolini.
Created one late night in 2018 in a moment of frustration and experimentation, Virus began as a rebellious outlet — a shadow self where surreal art, dark portraiture, and wearable chaos collided.
Through Virus, I explored bold, strange, and emotionally raw imagery — blending fine art techniques with twisted fairytales, sacred symbols, and pop subversion. What started as an experimental side project soon evolved into a full-blown visual language, and a home for my darker visions.
In parallel, I’ve worked under my own name, creating oil paintings and intimate portraits — often deeply personal, myth-infused, and hauntingly delicate. Now, these two creative worlds are one.
This shop is the new home of both my work as Virus and my work as Raffaella Bertolini.
Here you’ll find limited artwear collections, original paintings, signed prints, and fragments of stories that blur the line between dream and distortion.
Over the years, both bodies of work have been exhibited in galleries across the UK and the US, and have found homes in private collections around the world.
